Business owners who do too much, often camouflage their frenetic action just to look busy. It’s drilled in us from a young age to take action, do our homework, be active, do our chores.
I would often mistake looking busy for taking action. There is a big difference.
Of course, we need to take action, it means strong decision making, achievement and commitment.
Taking action is useless if it is just for the sake of looking busy. We also need to focus on practice, mastery and creativity, whether it’s our leadership, our craft, and our personal lives.
Choose flow and avoid unnecessary action by taking time each morning to practice engaging your parasympathetic nervous system. This state will give you a competitive advantage.
Otherwise, we miss the opportunities towards positive next steps, inner peace and wellbeing.
What’s your number one tip for getting into a flow state?
