Digesting a sandwich, whilst working through lunch and taking dinner back into the office is not a badge of honour.

I remember feeling the pressure of the office, believing that if I didn’t appear to be working all hours I was not proving myself. But for the most part, it was my inner voice judging me and putting pressure on me.

Consider what your inner voice is telling you. Try to compartmentalise it and give it a name. Separate it from yourself.

Develop the voice in your head, that is wise, thoughtful and considered and you’ll enjoy clarity and a better way forward.

Otherwise, if you keep listening to your critic it will drive you in a direction that could be very difficult to return from.
