Hyper-achievers and business owners who do too much find it hard to enjoy a state of tranquillity.
I know this too well. I believed unless I was spinning ten plates and involved with everything I wasn’t adding value, when in fact, I was causing more harm to myself and my professional and personal relationships.
As business owners, we want to solve problems, save the day and be a hero.
To avoid burnout we need to put more effort into thinking time, to reflect and get comfortable with being a daydreamer.
Try looking out of the window for a while…
When we make time to truly focus and concentrate on the important things in life, we increase our intuition, calmness and happiness.
Otherwise, we become slaves to phone calls, emails and social media – and become so overwhelmed we burnout.
